Graspop Metal Meeting
Metal festival · 2019: custom festival merch and the Skully figurine
We've worked with Graspop Metal Meeting (GMM) for a long time, mainly on custom made merchandise, gadgets and even backstage furniture. Every year we develop a large number of custom items for the festival, from keychains and cycling suits to sleeping bags and sticker sheets.

How a festival year starts
A project this size needs planning, so we hold kick-off meetings with the Graspop crew about 7–8 months before the festival.
We go over which products sold very well, what can be added, and the new style for the designs.
The Skully figurine, 2019
For the 2019 edition the festival asked us for a figurine of Skully, the Graspop mascot: about 20 cm tall, a limited edition of 500 pieces. It took roughly five months from idea to delivery.
It starts with a 3D drawing of the figure. Then a model is made, in clay or on a 3D printer, and every detail is checked and adjusted where needed. We also made the packaging, with matching branding.
A figurine like this takes time, so ask about feasibility well before you need it. 500 pieces is the minimum for this kind of item.
